Alexandre Navarro, a self-taught musician, is a singular figure on the contemporary electronic music scene. Trained as a guitarist, he is a composer and independent producer who has explored the sounds of electroacoustic music and musique concrète in the 2000s, after studying anthropology and attending the Conservatory of Bordeaux. His music, marked by electronic minimalism, relies on sampling and remixing guitar sessions, modular synthesizers and other sonic materials to create ethereal, immersive soundscapes. Founder of the EKO netlabel and later the SEM label with Letna from 2007 to 2014, he has continued to promote demanding experimental music through successive labels such as DISQ AN and the short-lived "Les Disques Imaginations." His career is marked by international collaborations, notably film and short-film music and has partnered with German designer Markus Schäfer for many years, both on his artworks and on his logo, which was redesigned in 2023. his albums Arcane and Loka were nominated for the Qwartz Awards. Today, Alexandre Navarro remains a key figure of the French musical avant-garde, having released his works on labels such as Archipel, Dronarivm, Laverna, Handstitched, Constellation Tatsu and, more recently, Facade Electronics.
